Measurement
Measurements include 1) appropriateness of care metrics for diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease and age-appropriate cancer screening rates and 2) no show rates
Results
Baseline data reveals poorer outcomes for resident PCPs as compared to attending PCPs. Baseline outcomes are similar in both control and intervention groups. Baseline data includes data for resident PCP vs. attending PCP no show rates, blood pressure control, cholesterol control, A1c at goal, and rate of age appropriate cancer screening.
Additional details
The goal of this project once optimized to expand to all resident PCPs and serve as a model for other large academic practices to improve the quality of care provided to patients with resident PCPs.
